Hampshire County Council Budget Consultation 2023

Hampshire County Council are looking to save £132 million a year from their budget, and are consulting residents on how to do this.

Proposals include increasing council tax and slashing the Highways budget. They are currently consulting residents to hear their views.

Although we have 1.6m people living in Hampshire, there are usually only around 3,000 responses to budget consultations. This means that everyone who responds will have a relatively high influence over the outcome. It only takes 10 minutes to read the Information Pack and then another 10 minutes to complete the online survey.

Steep is likely to be affected by the proposed cuts to Highways in particular, and individuals may well be impacted by other cuts.

The consultation is open until July 23. Please have your say here.
